Southwestern Adventist University students gathered for an evening of food, games, and sustainable shopping at "Sunset at the Lawn," a celebratory event marking the organization's official move online. Hosted on campus on Sunday, March 29, the event brought together student vendors and attendees to support secondhand fashion and community engagement.

Founded in 2024, Campus Cycle began as a student-led initiative inspired by a "Profiles of Entrepreneurship" class. Its mission is to make secondhand items the first choice for students while reducing waste on college campuses. The organization initially collected clothing through donation bins placed in dorms at the end of each semester, later curating and reselling items through pop-up events held multiple times per semester.

After the success of these pop-ups, Campus Cycle is now expanding online with a student-to-student marketplace accessible exclusively through .edu verification. This system ensures a safe and trusted environment for students to exchange, sell, and trade items locally.

"We wanted to create a space where students could shop sustainably while also building a stronger campus community," said one of the founders.

As Campus Cycle grows, it aims to redefine how students shop.
