Karen Morales is the first to claim victory in the Southwestern Adventist University Communication Department's reading program. By devouring the entire collection of Winnie-the-Pooh stories, totaling an impressive 450 pages, Morales secured one of the top prizes awarded to readers.

Designed to encourage intellectual growth and a love of books among students, the reading program awards points based on the number of pages read. Participants can earn one point for every 50 pages completed, with prizes offered at four, six, eight, and twelve points. The program features a wide range of books from various genres, including classics like Jules Verne, William Shakespeare, H.G. Wells and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The books can be found in the Communication Department in Pechero Hall.

Morales chose to embark on a Winnie-the-Pooh adventure, finding solace and joy in the whimsical world of the beloved bear and his friends. However, readers may wish to journey 20,000 leagues under the sea with Captain Nemo or fly away to Neverland with Peter Pan. Maybe they would like to help solve a mystery with Sherlock Homes or go time traveling with H.G. Wells. Whatever genre they are interested in, an adventure in story awaits them in the COMM office.

Students can view all the prizes, displayed on the ceiling of the communication office, and choose how many pages to read to secure the prize of their choice. Students can find all the rules and guidelines for the reading program posted in the office. The program is open to all university students, inviting them to participate and discover the joy of reading.
