Southwestern Adventist University will hold another presentation in the continuing Saxon Lecture Series in the Mabee Center at 4 p.m. tomorrow. Guest speaker Dr. John Sandford, will present, “New Genetic Evidence Refuting Human Evolution & Supporting Genesis 1-11.”

Sandford is a plant geneticist and associate professor at Cornell University in New York. He has conducted genetic research for more than 30 years leading to many discoveries in science. Sandford also holds several patents in his area of specialization.

“What makes Dr. Sandford of special interest to us,” Dr. Art Chadwick, Southwestern’s research professor of biological sciences says, “is that he has made the journey from atheist, to evolutionist, to Christian in a series of steps, a journey that has led him to espouse a deliberate belief in biblical creation.”

Some of Dr. Sandford’s significant contributions to science have been:

  1. the Biolistic Process

  2. the book Genetic Entropy

  3. the development of Mendel’s Accountant (the most advance and biologically realistic numerical simulation of the mutation/selection process)

  4. lead organizer/editor of the Cornell symposium and subsequently published proceedings entitled Biological Information—New Perspectives.

Tomorrow’s lecture is free and open to the public.
